26 Logical Reasons I am a Theist and Atheist book cover
  • 170+ Cartoons
  • Handwritten by a Human, Not AI

Welcome, fellow WISHY-WASHY agnostics!

Thanks for stopping by. With 170+ cartoons, this book is a humorous, illustrated deep-dive into ghosts, near-death experiences, reincarnation, free will, evolution, determinism, Occam’s razor, frozen embryos, the RNA World hypothesis, karma, cellular memory, the incubus phenomenon, and other topics at the crossroads of belief and skepticism.

In a world where religion so often divides us, I hope this book adds a little more nuance, balance, and honest uncertainty to the conversation. So I’m making the eBook free because I want these ideas to reach curious readers everywhere — including places where the print edition is expensive, unavailable, or just a pain to get. You’re welcome.

Kirkus Reviews

"A nuanced and refreshingly entertaining take on the age-old debate between faith and reason … An accessible work for an agnostic audience often ignored in the debates between believers and naysayers."

BookLife Reviews

"Gupta’s commentary is both witty and deeply insightful … [She handles] even the touchiest subjects with humility and warmth … Gupta’s willingness to confront often-taboo topics is inviting."

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Hi, I’m Preeti Gupta — a CFP®, CPA, financial planner, and author. By day I work in financial planning, helping people navigate the material world. Outside of work, I’ve spent years thinking and writing about whether there is anything beyond it.

I was born in Chicago, now live in New Jersey, and grew up in a liberal Hindu family involved with Chinmaya Mission, where I was introduced early to Eastern philosophy and scripture. Over time, I found myself pulled in two directions: towards science and skepticism but also towards the spiritual and supernatural.

So I wrote this book not as an expert with answers but as a wishy-washy agnostic who found that most books seem to argue from one side or the other, but rarely analyze the big existential questions from both ends. If you’re spiritually confused and have doubts too, I hope you’ll give the book a read, and join me for the ride. Thank you for stopping by!
